Rachelle + Paul MARRIED!

I keep saying I won’t do wedding photography, yet here I am with my second one this year. I couldn’t refuse this time because this wedding was a very, very special one for my dearest friends, Rachelle and Paul.

Rachelle and I met in 1999 through our ex’s. After short period of time of knowing each other, we decided to live together as roommates. She was the best roommate I ever had, and in my heart, I considered her to be my older sister, ‘unni’ that I never had. We lived together for a year. Then I met Jason, now my husband from Bay area. So, when things got serious, it was natural for me to move to Norcal and start a new life with him, which meant I was leaving LA for good. It didn’t take long for Rachelle to make the same transition to Bay area. It felt good to have her near and I believed our friendship only got better and stronger.

As for Paul, we met through a mutual friend back in New York. He was a hip, cool guy that I adored. I called him my older brother, ‘oppa.’ When I introduced them back in 2001, I had a feeling they liked each other, but their courtship didn’t start until 2007 when they were reunited at my wedding. Rachelle was my maid-of-honor and you can say that their love, perhaps might have started on our wedding day. I’d like to think that our magical day started something special for them as well. So, when Rachelle called to notify me about their secret wedding and asked me to be a witness for them, I was speechless and words could not express how happy I felt inside. This day was, a truly memorable occasion, and we were so happy to be part of this meaningful day.

CONGRATULATIONS Mr. and Mrs. Park! My loving ‘unni’ and ‘oppa!’ YOU DID IT!!!!!!!

Special THANKS goes to my husband, Jason and Alison for being my sherpas all day carrying my camera gears and everything else I had you carry. Also to Rob, Alison’s man, who was in charge of recording this amazing day on their new video camera called the Flip Camera. It’s so cool, I want one now.
