I feel very lucky to do what I do for a living. I’ve had many different careers in the past and this one is definitely the most rewarding and satisfying. Perhaps it’s because I am very passionate about my work, as well as the people that I encounter, and the overwhelming feeling I get when I am done with my work… There is nothing like it. When I am done shooting, I think about what I just witnessed and who I witnessed it with… There is nothing like birth photography and I am hooked. This birth went on longer than we all expected, but I think we all had a great time even as we waited for the long arrival of baby Porter. She was born on Wednesday, October 3rd, at 4:59pm, 8 lbs 6 oz, 19.5″. The love and joy I felt during my time with this family was truly special and heartfelt. I know waiting is the hardest part for families, but they made the most of it and I felt so blessed to have shared that time with them. Big thanks goes out to Karli Hetherington, Taylor’s doula/coworker/friend. I’m so glad we were able to work together for this family. THANK YOU!
