9 months
Jalen has been doing his “army crawl” for the last few months, but on his 9 month birthday he finally learned how to get up on his knees and is now really trying to stand on his own. OK. Not completely, but he is almost there. He is grabbing onto anything and everything in sight, trying to stand whenever he can. He really loves to stand and walk all the time. He loves to be tickled and laughs out loud which makes us laugh even harder. He loves to play peek-a-boo, still. Every day he does something new and we can’t help, but to fall in love with him. Is it possible to love another human being this much?! I think so. Have a child and you will know what I’m talking about.
Few weekends ago, we went to our uncle Mike’s house to visit our grandma, Nan who came to visit from Bay area. Jalen’s cousins were out and about playing with bubbles out in their front yard and of course, we had to join in on the fun. Seeing his face light up… it’s priceless. What’s really cool is also seeing Jason living in the moment and loving life. I knew Jason would be a wonderful father. I was never dubious about that. But to witness my two boys bonding the way they do… I am in awe every day and I am so in love with them both. Life just doesn’t get better than this. It really doesn’t.
Your daughter is so beautiful Adele. Can you believe how fast this year has gone by? I remember when we were still pregnant, waiting to meet our little ones. So much has changed since then… for good and I’m looking forward to 2012 to celebrate Jalen’s 1st birthday in March. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Ashlyn is still army crawling at 11 months! However she will on occasion get up on her knees a crawl for a bit. She is standing and walking around while holding on to things. They are growing so fast!
And I know what you mean by loving another human being so much! I don’t even feel as though she is separate from me. She is one in the same, we are the same body. It would be impossible to love her more. It’s an addiction to me! To hear her laugh and see her smile. I truly understand!
