Spending my Sunday morning with the Thweatt family started out with cup of coffee and some yummy pastries from one of my favorite bakery store in town, Tous Le Jours. After much anticipation, I finally got to meet Mercer who arrived in late January. I photographed this family twice last year (both times on locations) and although it was fun for me, I truly felt like I never got to see the ‘real’ Sophie. So getting to photograph her in her environment was a real treat. She studied me and my camera from time to time, but was comfortable enough to shine in front of my lens. Her parents, Kim and Joe are one of the most ‘laid-back’ couple I know which made me feel ‘at home’ while I visited them for few hours.

Life with kids can be hectic and crazy…  A marry-go-round that never seems to stop. But this couple always seem so… calm, cool and collected. They just let things happen… as it should… and they don’t sweat the little stuff. I LOVE that about them. Here are few of my favorites from their session.
