I can’t believe the last time I wrote was in 2014! To start off, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I hope everyone is having great 2015 thus far. To be completely honest, I have few confessions to make as to why I am so behind on blogging… Here it goes.

To start off, I really dislike blogging. I don’t consider myself a good writer and I never liked writing. I do this thing called ‘blogging’ because it’s necessary for my photography business, but seriously, I really dislike it. I’m a horrible writer and it takes me forever to write. So, that explains why I don’t blog as often as I’d like.

Second, in my personal life, major changes has happened and I’ve been learning how to deal with it emotionally and mentally. You see, for those of you that know me might know this already, but my mom who has been living with us for the last 11 years finally decided to come out her retirement and move out. She left few days before Thanksgiving to our her family in Los Angeles. She has found a job already and is now working. Needless to say, it’s been a huge adjustment for all of us… especially for me.

Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year and for the first time in 12 years, my husband was not with us during Thanksgiving. With my mom’s absence and my husband gone to Arizona to visit his grandma who is 90 years old, it was really quite around our household. Grandma Betty was diagnosed with colon cancer recently and she was scheduled to have her surgery. At her age, surgery could be fatal, outcome could be unpredictable and my husband felt he needed to be with her in case something really bad happened. So he spent 6 days with her and I’m glad he did.

So with all that happening recently, I barely have any time to do anything, it seems. Considering all the big changes we’ve been going through as a family, my photography business is once again picking up and I have started another business on the side which has nothing to do with photography. That’s in the works and I’ll share it with all of you once I launch my new business! Excited, but know that I’m working very hard night and day. I know I said I never sleep anymore, but even more now, I REALLY DON’T SLEEP! My mind is constantly turning thinking about how I can make my photography business better, how I can make my new business a successful one… Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job. I have no one else to depend on or get help from, so I’m feeling pretty worn out lately. BUT! guess what?! It’s also giving me that burning fuel that I want and need in order to really focus (as much as a sleep-deprived person can)! BUT, here is the REAL special announcement!

Starting February of 2015, I am offering birth videography as a way to document your child’s birth. Not only is birth photography a passion of mine, videography is something I’ve been wanting to explore and offer as an additional service to my clients.
