O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!!!!!
My family knows that Thanksgiving as always been my favorite holiday for many years, but ever since Jalen arrived early this year, I have been really looking forward to celebrating Christmas with him. Christmas caroling, attending fabulous holiday festivities around town, spending quality time with family & friends, and let’s not forget, shopping for a Christmas tree!!! This moment was something I have been hoping to capture for Jalen since he is too young to remember. If we lived in Bay area still, I’m sure we would have taken him to cut our own tree to carry on Jason’s family tradition, but since that is not possible, we decided to find one at a local tree lot called Papa Noel. Not the same sentiment, but nevertheless, we made the best of it and I think these images show how special it was for all of us.
My hubby is not a bad photographer as you can see in this photo below. In fact, I think he has a great eye. I keep asking him to be my second photographer. And he keeps saying no. I’m hoping one day, we can be that “wife and husband team” that has the opportunity to work together doing something creative. I’m envious of other couples that get to work together doing what they love to do. For now, I’ll keep wishing and hoping.
Looking at that smile, I think we found our tree!!!!!
Time to get our tree trimmed!
What a treat! When checking out, this nice sales guy gave us a discount since it was Jalen’s 1st Christmas tree. Feeling the love…
He even gave us mugs to take home, so that we can come back next year.
Mission ACCOMPLISHED!!!!
Too much excitement for one day. He passed out as soon as we got him in the car.
Here is a glimpse of what our tree looks like once we came home. Jalen was a great little helper.
