Baby Stella

I first met Stella and her mom, Sarah at Heartsong music class where I take Jalen every week. Several months later, we saw each other again at our mutual friend’s Halloween party with our kiddos. Then we connected on Facebook and few weeks later, when she found out I was a photographer, she asked me to photograph Stella because she wasn’t able to fit few outfits in her “other” photography session. I think it’s endearing how she wants to have many photographs of Stella as possible because she knows how fast she will grow up the first year of her life. And seriously, who could resist taking photos of her?! Just look at those cheeks! Those blue eyes! Our original day to shoot was gloomy and rainy last week. So, I was excited to see the sun come out shining and Mayfield wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. It was my first time shooting at this location and I could see why the photographers in Austin love coming here; beautiful, elegant peacocks roaming around freely, the lovely koi ponds surrounded by gorgeous gardens. I cannot wait to see what it’ll look like in the spring. I knew I picked the right location for this photo shoot. When Stella arrived, she was in a good mood and we were ready to have some fun. She was such a trooper the entire time and I could not have asked for a better session.

Stella’s grandma mentioned how she loves to play with her hands and I absolutely loved that.

I L-O-V-E capturing moments like these… So pure and in the moment…

However, I took this as a sign that she was done with her photo shoot. ; )

One last photo with mama to make Stella smile again.
