Well, I am waaaaay behind on blogging since Jonah arrived little over a month ago. He came one week early. We delivered him at home with the help from my midwife, Julia Bower, her assistant, Nina, and my friend and doula, Meredith. My good friend and colleague, Leilani Rogers was also with us to document Jonah’s arrival. Her work made all of us cry and rejoice at the same time. You can see her work here.

It was an experience I shall never forget. Jonah’s birth story has been written in my diary already. I didn’t want to forget any details. Getting pregnant and giving birth to a healthy baby boy, again, is a miracle in life… and I absolutely love this time of my life. I must admit I miss working, but I have to keep reminding myself that I need to enjoy every minute, every day with my children because time does fly by so fast when they are so little. Before I know we will be sending both of them off to college. In the midst of sleepless nights and days of hard work joggling a newborn and a toddler that seems restless 24/7… I am still grateful for everything I have and I am so blessed to share every part of it with my loving friends and families around us. Many of my generous mama friends have stopped by with flowers, treats, and sweet presents for our growing family. I am SO, SO lucky to have YOU, friends… I love you all! You know who you are!!!!!

 Last weekend, another photographer friend and colleague, Jessica Mitchell who specializes in newborn photography came over and took some wonderful family photos for us. Here is a birth announcement for Jonah that I made with a photo that Jessica took.
